Today, I wanted to tell you about my favorite fall tall jacket from a vendor called Tall Girls. I first learned about this speciality store from a great blogger named Bree (TheTalllSociety). The company is based in the UK and was created in 1998 as a small shoe vendor for large/hard-to-find shoes. Over the years, they’ve evolved to sell everything from denim to swimwear. I simply love their motto, “fashion that fits” because it really epitomizes the plight of a tall woman. It’s all we really want — cute designs tailored for our bodies. It’s like mainstream designers forgot abut us after we left their runways. Maybe they’re all working on secret tall lines soooo amazing that it’s taking years to perfectly complement our flyness…hmm, probably not.
Now that I’ve stepped down from my soap box (lol), let me tell you more about the ‘Panelled Jacket‘. Please understand me when I say, this jacket is EVERYTHING!!! If you’re not a tall woman, you simply can’t appreciate how it feels to finally not have cold wrists (because the sleeves are too short…lol). What makes this tall jacket so hot is the paneled effect. This jacket drapes in all of the best places and is form fitted in the areas that matter – giving you a slimmer silhouette. This two-textured jacket also aligns with my pattern/texture obsession. The arms and body are reminiscent of leather (but are faux leather) and the paneling is a thin, draped material. Ah, don’t you just love when tall boutiques/retailers actually get it right?
The jacket’s material is a mixture of rayon, polyester and cotton. Although the paneling is very generous, you should know that the arms fit pretty snugly. And on top of that, the website says this fall tall jacket is machine washable — yes you heard me — machine washable! Sounds like we can save a trip to the dry cleaner…whoop whoop! The jacket is £65 (roughly $69), so you simply can’t beat that deal! If you’re looking for a new tall jacket to add to your collection, I highly recommend this one. Not only will your wrists stay warm but you’ll be uber chic, too. 😉
