What’s that in the distance? Is it Santa and his merry reindeer? Nope–just yours truly doing a little holiday “slaying.” This week’s look will definitely have you owning the night.
Who doesn’t love a little black dress (LBD)? It’s perfect for any occasion and is always super slimming. Last year’s holiday look book featured a dazzling red number which I absolutely love. This year, I decided to take it back to basics with a holiday dress from Fashion to Figure. This dress features a sheer top, ruffles along the chest line and a pencil skirt. I was drawn to this look because it was different from most LBDs I’ve seen. I loved how the ruffles gave extra drama to the dress without adding bulk.
Accessories
As you probably know by now, I’m an “accessories minimalist.” No matter how hard I try, I just haven’t mastered the beauty of accessories. With this look, however, I decided to add a silver jeweled collar (similar) to give the dress a little more dimension. This also draws the eye to my favorite part of the dress (the ruffles). I paired the collar with a cute studded velvet clutch from Talltique that you may have also seen a fellow tall friend wear on my Instagram channel (Hey Sydney!) The bag is so soft, I didn’t want to let it go. Finally, I rounded out the look with a cute pair of velvet Nine West booties.
Okay divas…now it’s your time to slay the holidays. I’d love to see your look! Send me your favorite holiday LBDs on Instagram or Twitter. Until next time…
P.S. Here’s a little nighttime “slay” for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy! 😉
